“Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
2 Timothy 2:15
Purpose
AWANA stands for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed.” It is a dynamic program that exists to reach children and youth with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him.
Schedule
AWANA is held every Wednesday evening at 6:45 p.m. during the school year (September through May).
From June to August, we offer the TAG program on Wednesday evenings.

Cubbies
Age 3 to preschool
Children are involved in Scripture memorization, games, and Bible story time. Each child can participate at his own level with the encouragement of leaders.
Sparks
Kindergarten through second grade
Sparks are involved in Bible memorization, fun activities, games, and Bible story time. There are three different activity workbooks: HangGlider (Kindergarten), WingRunner (first grade), and SkyStormer (second grade). Children are encouraged to advance at their own pace. Sparks are also able to participate in events such as AWANA Games.
Truth and Training
Third through sixth grade
Truth and Training has more advanced Bible memorization, council time, and game time. Children have four activity workbooks that coincide with each of the four years that they are in this group. They are able to participate in events such as AWANA Games and the AWANA Grand Prix.
