“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” – Matthew 28:19-20
In addition to the general Monday night visitation, We offer a visitation program just for women! Visits are made to new members, new mothers, the sick, the elderly, and those in need of encouragement. Preplanned and outlined visits are scheduled for Thursdays from 12:45 P.M. until 3 P.M.
“…To loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke… to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house…” – Isaiah 58:6-7
Many of our women help provide meals for funeral dinners, new mothers, and families in times of crisis.
Letters of Love
“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” – 1Corinthians 15:58
Letters of Love is our greeting card ministry. It is designed to bring encouragement, enlightenment, peace, and joy to our church family through hand-made cards. Our ladies meet the last Thursday of the month at 6:00 p.m. in one of their homes to design cards and hand-written letters filled with scriptural messages appropriate for the recipient.
Sewing Ministry – Hearts & Hands for Missions
Our ladies meet in the church library for the quilting ministry. The quilts are stitched by talented volunteers and then donated to missionaries to be used in needy places around the world. Currently, the quilts are being sent to Mexico for use in a children’s home. Check the church calendar for meeting dates.
“The aged women likewise, that [they be] in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, [To be] discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.” – Titus 2:3-5
We desire for the women in our church of different generations to come alongside each other and nurture the souls of another by putting Titus 2:3-5 into practice. We desire to pair young believers with older, mature believers who can assist in spiritual growth and development, as well as educate in home-making skills and successful living. The MOMents program currently fosters this special relationship.
Our Women’s Ministry cherishes motherhood and the important role a mom plays in the lives of her children. To celebrate this special relationship, we host mother-son and mother-daughter events semi-annually. These events typically involve a brunch, tea, or luncheon, a devotional, and activities geared for moms of all ages and their children.
